Kinetic Skyscraper

A skyscraper with a facade that opens and closes in response to weather and light conditions. Created to explore procedural ways of working in Blender to achieve a parametric architecture style design.

On the day render, I used Moorish tile patterns for the outer wall and facade detail. It shifts color and becomes vivid as your viewing angle changes to the structure, similar to " Rockpanel Chameleon" facade panels.

The background is a photo I took of Crosby Beach in 2020. The night render was inspired by pearlescent car paint and a moody night photograph of Oslo!
